A storeman's duties revolve around managing and controlling stock, including receiving, storing, and issuing goods, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the storeroom is organized and safe.
Position is based in Richards Bay, 12 month contract.

Key Responsibilities
- Stock Control:
- Receiving and checking incoming goods for damage or defects.
- Ensuring goods are stored correctly and appropriately.
- Maintaining accurate stock levels and records.
- Identifying and reporting any discrepancies or losses.
- Issuing stock to authorized personnel.
- Participating in stocktakes and cycle counts.
- Organization and Maintenance:
- Ensuring the storeroom is clean, organized, and safe.
- Maintaining a system for locating and retrieving stock efficiently.
- Implementing and maintaining storeroom standards.
- Supervising utilization of stock.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintaining accurate records of all stock movements, including receipts, issues, and returns.
- Using inventory management systems to track stock levels and movements.
- Generating reports on stock levels and movements as required.
- Other Duties:
- Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Handling customer inquiries related to stock availability.
- Maintaining health and safety standards in the storeroom.
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- May be required to assist with purchasing or ordering stock.
- May be required to assist with stock rotation and preventing spoilage.
